General Refund Policy

SWAIA Digital Market General Refund Policy

Disclaimer: Each artist on the SWAIA Digital Market platform manages their own storefront and sets their own policies, which may differ from these guidelines. If an artist’s policies conflict with any of these guidelines, the terms of the artist’s policies will govern any refunds. Please review the following guidelines to understand how refunds are generally handled.

General Refund Guidelines

  1. Artist-Controlled Policies
    • Each artist on our platform has the discretion to establish their own return and refund policies. Details regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds will be provided on each artist's store page. Before purchasing, please review the specific terms listed on the artist’s store page.
  2. Refund Eligibility:
    • Artists may choose whether to accept returns or exchanges. This decision will be clearly stated on their store page. To qualify for a refund, items must be returned in their original condition within the time frame specified by the artist's return policy.
    • Custom or personalized items may not be eligible for return unless explicitly stated by the artist.
  3. Requesting a Refund:
    • If the artist accepts returns, you can initiate a return by contacting the artist directly through their store page. Include your order number and reason for the return.
    • Refund requests must be made within the timeframe specified in the artist’s return policy.
  4. Refund Schedule:
    • Refunds will be processed according to Shopify or Pay Pal's policies. Typically, refunds will be issued back to the original payment method within 10 business days after the artist has approved the return.
    • Once the refund has been issued, the amount of time it takes for the funds to be credited to the original payment method is contingent upon the financial institution’s processing time
    • Once the refund is processed and sent to your customer’s card issuing bank, it can take another 2-7 business days (depending on the bank’s processing speeds) for the refund to post to your customer’s account. 
    • In total, it can take up to 14 business days for the customer to receive their refund.
  5. Shipping Costs:
    • Unless specified by the artist, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
  6. Exchanges:
    • Exchanges are subject to the artist’s policies. Please check the individual artist’s return policy for specifics.
